What is my student ID? What is my password? How do I get one?

Beginning in March, 2007, the Prophetic Voice Institute began using student IDs to help keep track of and better serve our ministry students. Whether you registered for a course before or after this time, you have been issued a student ID. You may retrieve your ID and password by clicking the link below.

Following mid-March of '08, we also redesigned our website, instituting passwords along with our student IDs, to allow you to better access your relevant records and material. If you registered previous to then, you will need to request your info be sent to you via email.

If you have yet to register with our school, you must begin by registering as a student. You will then receive a student ID. Then you may proceed with your registration for the first course.

How do I register for an online course?

Before registering for a course, you must first register a student. Once you have been issued a student ID, you may then use that and your chosen password to log in and then register for our first course, Diploma in Discipleship.

Once registered for the first course online, you will then be able to download the course as a PDF for both offline and online viewing and/or printing. The course will also be emailed to you right after registration!

Can I take the courses in a printed format?

Yes! The first course, Diploma in Discipleship, originally started out as a perfect-bound book called The Gospel Truth. Dr. Kostelnik, by the leading of the Holy Spirit and the suggestion of a good friend, decided to have that book, and several other books that he has written over the years, compiled into separate courses.

Each course is available in a spiral-bound, 8.5x11" manual format, which also includes the respective exam. They are available by request.

We ask you to send a small amount to cover the physical costs of printing, materials, packing and postage, as well as grading your test and issuing your diploma, once you have finished studying the course. If you are unable to send this much, we will gladly receive anything you can put toward defraying these costs. However, we do sponsor those who truly have no money to send, by taking from our local assembly's mission offerings. See more below.

Do you sponsor students or offer scholarships?

Yes! Scholarships are obviously not needed for the online versions of the courses, as they are completely free to take online.

We do ask for a small fee for the printed copies of the courses, and for the online versions of the exams, to cover our costs of printing, materials, packing and postage.

For those who truly do not have the money to send, we are able to sponsor them as God provides in our local assembly.

Please do not request a scholarship when registering if you truly have the money to send, as the Lord knows the hearts of all men. As you will find in our courses, giving to God through his servants is a true blessing, and a source of great prosperity for all involved. It has been the way out of debt and lack several times for Dr. Kostelnik.

However, if you do not have the funds, please do not feel bad about your situation; much of our ministry is to those who otherwise would not have the opportunity to study for the ministry.

As many ministry schools charge upwards of $1,000 for similar courses, we believe God will provide for both our and your needs as we freely give the material to those who are without means to pay (such as those in third world countries; retired or unemployed people; or other situations).

So, regardless of your means, know that we will do our best to accommodate you by the Holy Spirit's provision!

Can I come to the USA and study with PVI in-person?

No, we do not have a resident school. We are only able to to train people outside of our assembly via the Internet and the postal mail. We cannot accommodate any students here, or provide work for them.

Are the courses really free? Are the optional diplomas free too?

The online courses are completely free, yes. You may take each course, in order, without paying any kind of fees to us.

Each course has an optional exam to ratify your studies with us. If taken and a passing grade (70% or higher) is scored, you are also granted immediate access to a free online diploma (PDF format). If you decide you would like us to print and postal mail you a diploma, we ask for a small $10 fee to cover our costs of materials, printing, packaging and postage.

If you unable to take the courses online, or find it easier to study from the printed page, we also offer the courses in printed format for a small fee (again, to cover our costs). See above for more details.

Can I study only one of the courses?

You may study the first course and quit.

However, if you would like to take the second and/or third courses, you must proceed in order, beginning with the Discipleship course.

Much of the material in each course is not often found in other discipleship and Bible study materials, so we trust you'll be surprised by joy as you study each one in order!

Must I complete the exam and receive a diploma before moving on to the next course?

No. You are free to take each course in order without taking the exam. The exam and diploma are optional, available to ratify your studies with us—they are not required.

I've lost my username and/or password for one of the courses; can I retrieve it without registering again?

As of the new site design, there are no longer any separate usernames and passwords for each course. Now, once you log in with your student ID and password, you will be given immediate access via links to the courses for which you have registered.

If you never received or have lost your student ID and/or password, please do not try to re-register as a student. Rather, use the link below to retrieve that information.

Do you offer licensing or ordination to ministers?

No, we offer neither licensing nor ordination from our ministry school to its students.

We have no plans to change this in the near future. If you are interested in either one, we encourage you to speak with the pastor of your local congregation about the matter.

The normal biblical pattern is to be sent out by your local church into the ministry field, and as such your church's ministry is usually the place to offer licensing or ordination.

Are the courses secularly accredited? Is a transcript available?

No, these courses have no formal accreditation with any government or school.

However, they may count as life experience or informal study for certain schools that accept such.

We may one day work on issuing a transcript system for each student's progress, for those who take the course and respective test in order to receive a diploma. If we ever do so, we will post it somewhere very visible on the website!

Until that time, we do not offer transcripts.

Do you have more than the three courses listed?

No, not courses put out by the Prophetic Voice Institute.

However, we do have several other publications and books about various spiritual subjects, including a course written for women by Dr. Kostelnik's wife, Barbara, available from Prophetic Voice Publications.

There are also hundreds of audio sermons available for free download at the same site, covering all different topics.

I'm having trouble registering, logging in, receiving login lookup emails, or submitting feedback.

Our website uses "cookies" to effectively identify our students, to allow appropriate site and course/exam access.

We also use cookies to verify that those submitting forms, such as our contact form, are not web robots or spammers. This is the reason for the "I am not a robot" verification.

If you are having trouble with the forms, be sure your web browser allows cookies from our domain, gtm.org.

If you used the form to have your login information emailed to you, but you're not receiving the email, add pvi@gtm.org to your email program's whitelist/allowed senders/contacts to ensure you receive it.

Also, if you only have trouble with logging in, then it's likely you are making a typo. Try requesting your login information via email from the site, then copy and paste your password from the email directly into the form. Often, people mistake the number one (1) for a lowercase L (l), or vice-versa, which will give you a login error.

I've found a typo or incorrect scripture reference; would you like to know about it?

Yes! Please contact us with any typos you believe you have found.

These courses were originally printed on a typewriter back in the 1990's, and in 1999 were scanned into a computer using OCR software. Such software back then was not very accurate, and so many letters were incorrectly recognized.

We have fixed the typos as we have come across them, but having a fresh set of eyes looking at the material often picks up more than we can on our own.

So, if you don't mind taking a little time when you find a misspelled word or incorrect scripture reference, please use the contact form to report it to us, with the course and page number. Thank you very much!

May I use PVI's material to teach other people, such as in my church or a Bible study group?

Yes! This is Dr. Kostelnik's vision, that those who are taught this material would use that knowledge to teach others.

Our requirements are:

  1. You must register for and fully study all three of our courses (Discipleship, Deaconate, Ministry).
  2. You must take and score a passing grade (70% or higher) on each course's exam.
  3. You should be called by God to minister (detailed in the courses).
  4. If your students will be receiving a copy of the course, you will send us their name, full mailing address, and email address, so that we might register them as students with our school.
  5. You may not make any changes to the material, and must give our contact information to your students.

Be encouraged in the Lord to follow the apostle Paul's exhortation to Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:2: "The things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit the same to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also."

Do you offer any degree programs?

We don't offer any degree programs, but Dr. Kostelnik can act as your representative for degree coursework at International Semimary: they offer several degree programs ranging from A.A. to B.A. to Masters, and even Doctorates! While not free, they are very reasonably priced compared to many seminaries and Bible colleges. You may view their website and if anything looks like it might be a good fit, feel free to contact Dr. Kostelnik about how he can be your student rep for their school!
